Announces the expansion to it's facility here in Buffalo, Missouri

Before any construction, Colonial Springs Healthcare Center was 35,666 sq ft.
Rehab addition added 3,442 sq ft. - Dining addition adds 2,102 sq ft.
Laundry addition adds 407 sq ft. - Special Care addition adds 8,285 sq ft.
After all additions have been completed the facility will be a total of 66,022 sq ft.

The rehab unit is now located on the west side of the facility.

What this new construction will offer the area! With the new expansion to Colonial Springs in Buffalo, Missouri the facility will now able to offer more complete care towards Out Patients as well as to its Full Time Residents. The Rehab Department now offers a Rehab Program which includes a complete Physical Therapy  program including Speech Therapy and is staffed by 6 professionals. Included in this new expansion, Colonial Springs will be increasing its over all capacity of beds from the current 104 to 134, but these new additional beds will be mainly in the new  Special Care Unit which also is where a new larger Dinning Room will be located in the new wing. An increase in staff, which is currently at 120 employees and with the current expansion, may call for a need of 20 to 30 new employees, offering new job opportunities to Buffalo and Dallas County area residents, according to Robert McMillan, the Colonial Springs Administrator.

  Colonial Springs Senior Living Community
Independent Living Units are 3,742 sq ft. each adding 14,968 sq ft for all twelve.

Colonial Springs Senior Living Community consists of four new independent living triplexes located next to Colonial Springs Healthcare Center, an affiliate of Citizens Memorial Healthcare. The 12 new units are available to individuals 55 years of age or older. No medical condition is required to move into the apartments. The two bedroom apartments cost $795 a month and the one bedroom apartments are available for $695 a month. Each extra person living in the unit is an extra $100 per month. The monthly rent includes electric, water, sewer, trash, lawn care and snow removal. Each apartment includes a washer/dryer combo, refrigerator, stove, dish washer and garage and one free meal a day.
